More on the Austin Story

Two days ago I pointed out a story in Austin about a woman who was seriously scammed by her California moving company. Well, according to this article from KTVU.com, that same company has been getting themselves into a lot of hot water lately. I guess since I work in the industry I tend to give movers the benefit of the doubt, thinking “well, maybe that was an isolated incident,” etc. Unfortunately, that seems to be the exact opposite of the case in this situation.

According to the article, the California movers have had nearly ten major complaints filed to the California Public Utilities Commission and the Better Business Bureau rated them an F grade. Both of these organizations are great examples of the resources you should use before making a move to make certain you know who you’re dealing with. If a company is given an F, that means stay as far away as possible.

I was really shocked when I heard that story. It’s even worse, but thanks for the information! I gotta check a grade of moving companies before I decide a company!

Wow, that’s very bad……Check the California Public Utilities Commission and the Better Business Bureau if you don’t want to be that person!
