A Thorough Guide to Choosing a Mover

More and more of these “Choosing a Mover” stories have been popping up in the news lately, but the one released today on The Examiner’s Website is by far one of the most thorough of the type I’ve seen this year. Rather than a brief paragraph spouting off a few of the most well known tips in the industry, this author goes into detail on lesser-known resources like state movers associations and AMSA. If you’ve got a move coming up and aren’t near a Moishe’s Moving location, this is a great resource for finding an alternative you can trust.

From The Examiner:

Twenty-six states have state mover’s associations. Collectively these organizations represent the highest standards of moving and storage professionals by providing the public with resources to assist in making their vendor decision easier. Check with them or the American Moving and Storage Association if a mover claims membership. The self storage industry is represented in thirty-five states and Canadian provinces. Like the mover’s associations, these professional groups function to protect the interests of those in need of do-it-yourself storage facilities or mobile/portable container options.
